What is a Reiki Session? 

A Reiki session is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing practice that promotes relaxation, stress reduction, and balance in the body. It's based on the idea that a life force energy flows through all living things and that blockages in this energy can lead to illness or discomfort. 

How does Reiki work?

Reiki works by bringing universal life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to the recipient. This energy flows to where it’s most needed in the body, helping to clear energetic blockages, balance the chakras, and activate the body’s natural healing processes. It doesn’t require physical touch, though light touch is often used. Reiki supports emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being by restoring energetic harmony and promoting deep relaxation.

  • You will lie down, fully clothed while the practitioner lightly places their hands near specific areas (such as the head, shoulders, ears, stomach and feet – as well as chakra-centers) for a few minutes in each. Sessions are usually 50 minutes. 

  • Yes. Absolutely. You will still receive the same benefits whether you are awake or asleep. Each experience is unique.

  • Reiki is not a religion, and it requires no specific beliefs. It can be spiritual for some, while for others it has nothing to do with spirituality. Reiki is accessible to anyone, regardless of faith or background.

  • Yes, Reiki is safe for everyone—including children, pregnant individuals, and those with chronic or terminal conditions. It complements other healing modalities and medical treatments well.
